#Why Norway has 6 months day and 6 months night?

-If the Earth rotated exactly perpendicular to its axis then we would all have 12 hour days and 12 hour nights no matter where we were. Instead, the Earth is tilted by approximately 23.5 degrees. This means that there’s an area at the top and the bottom that gets 6 months of day followed by 6 months of night.

-In Svalbard, Norway, the northernmost inhabited region of Europe, there is no sunset from approximately 19 April to 23 August. The extreme sites are the poles, where the sun can be continuously visible for half the year. The North Pole has midnight sun for 6 months from late March to late September.
